Privacy policy
What the RokoReels Android app ("RokoReels", "we") collects, why, and the choices you have.
Your reel counts, limits and history stay on your phone.
No ads, no advertising ID, and we never sell data.
Usage stats and sign-in are optional, and you can turn stats off.
What stays on your phone
Your daily reel counts, per-app counts, time spent, limits, focus hours, settings and history are stored only on your device. We never upload them to our servers. If you use Android's own backup, Android may include them in your Google backup, and you control that in your phone's settings.
Permissions and why we need them
Sees which app is open and when you swipe to a new reel, shows Iris (the floating counter) above reel apps, and closes the reel feed at your limit. It doesn't read messages, passwords or text you type, and doesn't look at what's in videos. Used on the device only, never uploaded.
Works out time spent in reel apps for your Insights.
Keep counting reliably and tell you when you reach your limit.
Anonymous usage stats (optional)
To find bugs and improve the app, RokoReels sends usage events through Google Analytics for Firebase. Examples are finishing onboarding, setting a limit (the number you chose), reaching a limit, and a daily summary (yesterday's total reels, reels per app, minutes, whether you stayed under your limit, and your streak). Google Analytics also records standard app information such as device model, Android version, app version and approximate region.
These stats don't include the content of reels, your messages, or the advertising ID. You can turn them off at any time in More → Share anonymous usage stats.
Google sign-in (optional)
You can use RokoReels without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we use Firebase Authentication and store a profile with your name, email address, when the account was created, when you last signed in, and the app version. While you're signed in, usage stats are linked to your account ID (never your email). Your reel counts and history are not uploaded.
Who processes the data
Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Google Analytics for Firebase) processes this data for us. See Google's privacy policy and Firebase privacy information. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Keeping and deleting data
You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your profile and your sign-in account. You can also request deletion by email. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your phone. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of our Analytics property and is not linked to your name or email.
Children
RokoReels is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
